Classes

Dear Constance,
This is just a note to let you know how much Mom & I loved attending your fabulously fun art classes. They were always so creative, inspirational, nurturing and fun. It was a wonderful time for us to bond over art and to collaborate on a shared project as we talked about what we wanted “to do next”. We looked forward to each week as we watched our project come to life. As we created our Family Memory Booklets, we reminisced and shared treasured stories of past times. Thank you for always being available for suggestions, to help us to implement our ideas and encourage us to create and explore as we wished. What a wonderful environment you provided as we worked! Our time spent was so precious to us both. Our booklets have become treasured family heirlooms. For many reasons, thank you for all the opportunities you brought to our family through your classes.

I began my teaching career at Woodland Park Zoo. In addition to coordinating classes for children and families, I also taught regularly, often incorporating art into natural history programs. After the publication of Growing Wild: Inviting Wildlife into Your Yard and my second book, Wild Wild West, I was invited into schools throughout the region. With hundreds of assemblies, mural projects, and young author programs on my resume, I currently offer a wide selection of interactive workshops for students as listed below.
In 1996, I started teaching with Seniors Making Art, a program initiated by Dale Chihuly. I relish the opportunity to teach in senior centers and retirement communities.
